'Final Breath In Twilight' Poem by Azeem Islam

'Final Breath In Twilight'

Rating: 5.0

In the stillness of twilight, her breath did cease,
My beloved in my arms, finding final peace.
Her eyes, once bright, now closed to the light,
Leaving me adrift in an endless night.

Her heartbeat faded, soft as a sigh,
As I whispered farewells, my heart asking why.
In the echo of silence, her spirit took flight,
Leaving behind shadows of sorrow and fright.

Her laughter, her touch, now memories in bloom,
Haunting the corners of an empty room.
A void in my soul, where her love once dwelled,
A pain indescribable, words cannot quell.

Yet in this grief, a tender grace,
A love eternal, no time can erase.
For in my arms, her last breath lay,
A cherished moment, in sorrow's gray.

My beloved breathed her last with me,
In that fleeting whisper, eternity
