First Thing Poem by Jose' Antonio Orellana Artolozaga

First Thing

Rating: 5.0

First thing—

Morning after eye opener
Reveals secrets untold,
Hush-hush of you that’s meant
For the furtive bump into.
Unfold surreptitious
Surprises. Unravel the
Riddle of what’s been
Stealthily hidden;
Classified information
Kept top secret
Until after the lovin’
And from your eyes a language
Honeyed gold spills forth
Wine filled goblets of delight
And whispers I place
On your ear resonate what
Dwells within things you
Inspire, reflections
Intonate your pink-red,
Orange-white impatiens in
Bloom within the chamber of
Your honey-sweet corazón
So delicado, let flow
Crimson-hot from the breath of
Your hearth encompass
Essence my words and let
Evanescence feast on this
Illusion-infinity
For I am but the tones of
Voice-dreaming fantasies you fancy
