Fly Poem by bruce butler

I did fly before
i remember now
it was a few years ago
had no recollection of this before
but it is fresh in my mind now
i was surprised
In the air i was, but it was so long ago
remember the day i do now
soaring through the clouds
chasing an airplane
or was it something else
maybe it was you
or maybe it was a kite
chasing something i was
but it disappeared
i started to chase
but could not see what it was
my curiosity has been arisen
what else do i not remember
the speed was fantastic
the excitement is hard to describe
i want to fly
fly so high
so high i can fly
