Flying Ants Poem by Sumanta Dhar

Flying Ants

When in the dark a lamp is lit up,

Often in the halo of the illumination,

One can see the darkness playing hide and seek,

Wheareas the strong flame at the centre,

Glows intensely,

And they slay the darkness,

And also some insects,

Who prance upon the sharp light,

To pronounce, they are giving up,

Their lives.

And then they dropp dead and get mingled,

With the piercing darkness.
