Fools Live To Burn Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Fools Live To Burn

Who can live, at one's desire
Thriving, living as king
Free from death, hell's pit of fire
Life's favoured songs to sing

Who'll inherit life's royal wares
In mansions built on high
No more tears no worldly cares
No more fear to die

Impossible! countless will say
Believing Heaven absurd
Death to The Truth, blind to life's Way
Doubting God's written word

What other remains love to do
To open blind souls eyes
Enable to see life anew
Rising through Paradise

Could you; my friend be one of these?
Sceptic, Jesus is true
Regret your shame, bend God your knees
Enquire, what to do

Linger a while, believe in hope
Open truth's long locked door
Pray Heavens Power help you cope
To reach life's unseen shore

Unseen through the vital unknown
Through selfishness as fools
Through serving one's heart, cold as stone
Rejecting life's simple rules

Examine yourself, see what's wrong
Bid truth to change your ways
Seek grace to join salvation's throng
Singing God's joyful praise.....
