For Elizabeth Poem by Enyinnaya Charles Onuoha

For Elizabeth

Happy birthday, dear Liz,
A gentle soul with a shining light.
Seventeen years of grace and kindness,
A heart that makes the world feel right.

From Bida where your smile lives,
To Kogi State where your roots belong,
Your smile carries warmth and beauty,
Like a quiet, comforting song.

You dream of wearing a nurse's badge,
Healing hands and a caring heart.
Soon the world will see your brilliance,
As your journey in medicine starts.

With JAMB ahead just around the bend,
May wisdom guide you every day.
May courage sit beside your dreams,
And light forever lead your way.

I always smile at our friendly talks,
Those quiet moments we both share,
Simple conversations full of laughter,
Showing just how much we care.

One day soon when you turn eighteen,
I hope to give a gift that's true—
A gift to keep our friendship close,
A small promise kept for you.

But more than gifts, please always know
What matters most is this:
You have a friend who truly cares,
And wishes you lifelong bliss.

So on this birthday, dear Liz,
May joy surround you like the sun.
Your story is just beginning now—
And I believe in what you'll become.

Happy Birthday, Elizabeth Ahuoiza James.
From your friend who cares about you,
