For Harriet Beecher Stowe
Her words changed the world
A world I will die for
To reveal secrecy
And tyranny
I ‘am a voice in a crowd
So sit down and listen
Fill in the audience
Don’t bum rush the stage
Like a protester with rage
Listen to me
For I have lived 5 men’s life’s
And I ‘m only 15
Listen to all the cries of the injustice
I represent myself
But I’ll talk about “Occupy Wall St”
They have a nice resume
Of protesting and marching
Now, listen to Hartford
Turn off the TV and listen to
A resident
I ‘am with New Generation
It’s an infant
With 2 males and 2 females
All in Hartford
Watching what I watch
Oppressed by the media
If I win
I‘ll use the money to
Invest in my baby group
Of poets and writers
Not puppets and liars
We want change in Hartford
Change for better schools
And to grab our peers attention
This is for you
Harriet Beecher Stowe
Her words changed the world
And so can mine
So stand up and fight
“El Grito De Hartford”
Shall be heard
I represent myself
And the current leader of
New Generation
Hartford shall be resurrected
This is for you
Harriet Beecher Stowe
Your words changed my world
Our world
