As the sun sets in on this valley of Death
And the shadows creep so close
I will take your hand and light your way
Breathing out the winter air
From the holes in our once still hearts
Keep your body next to mine
I will deliver you from hardship
Bring you out into this blooming world
Hush your thoughts
Leave lips still
No sorrow may touch you now, my dear
I’ll show you the truth of heaven
No house of many mansions
Or castles in the sky
But solace found in your bright eyes
Under the winking stars
In the calm of twilight
I’ll heal your stigmata
So you can hold my hand as I
Unravel your crown of thorns
And sing softly until dreams find you
I’ll show you the truth of heaven
A glow in a dim city
Two destinies unravelling
Finally we’ve found home
