i think you write this because you want to bring them up with good confidence in themselves because you didn't have it when you were young. That's how I grew up, not having any confidence...little did i know that it's because i wasn't raised to be a confident person, i had to just find out for myself what it is i truly wanted and just exactly how i wanted to be treated and not settle for less. I lived through this, and choose to raise my kids to have good self-esteem about themselves no matter what they look like or how smart or etc.
