For Sharks Poem by Ocean Doubtfire

For Sharks

Shall time reward the sweet invention love?
His best friend is the shark and not the dog,
Before the sun had grown a tree above
The black hole birthed its peerless analogue.
All arrows are his tail, fins and teeth,
All fired from the start to end of days,
All infant species finds he underneath,
And he need never bend or mend his ways.
Does empathy affect it can survive
While cruelty's avatar reaps his success?
Who knows, at least while living we're alive
Though he will yet outlast us I would guess.
Man sheds a tear for thee should thee decline;
If not, thine is the way and time take mine.
