Sir Garfield Sobers!
You have been described as the world's greatest cricketer!
Your distinctive performances in the sporting arena,
Have inspired the young, the old male and female!

Sir Garfield,
You have left us now!
Your body is no more!
But your magnificent contributions,
In earthly sporting world,
Will forever live on,
In the minds and annals of many!

All mortals are born to live for a period of time,
Then we die and our souls depart,
To rest in the divine land.
Sir Garfield, your soul has gone to that place,
Where souls meet and greet!
They will welcome you there!
You will be happy among them!
Rejoicing that you had performed your mission
With very great distinction!

The world will forever be grateful,
That you once graced us,
With your majestic presence!
