Oblivious to the horrors to befall them
They flocked to their classrooms
Only steered by an apetite for education
That they would hog the headlines
And feature on breaking news of the BBC and al jazeera
That they would become hostages
To vicious men
With hearts soaked with malice
Registered no ounce of expectation in their mind
Who would target harmless schoolgirls anyway?
Though they are miles away
Their cries are so audible
I can hear a tinge of fear and pain inside them
The warmth of their tears so defying
It melts my steel heart into silent tears of sorrow
Their shivering and trembling runs miles to quiver down my spine
So unbearable to picture their excruciating agony
I am no soldier
To fight for their realese
Neither am i a trained negotiator
To cut a deal for their freedom
I am just a poet
So i join the rest of the world
And shout out with my pen
Bring back our girls
