For The Little Girl Living Deep Inside Poem by March Nicks

For The Little Girl Living Deep Inside

For the little girl, the one who occupies my soul
The one who reminds me of simpler times
Your time is coming, and these are the things I wish for you
I hope you will always march to the beat of your own drum
Never lose that sense of childlike wonder
When the rain comes crashing down
I hope you rush outside to splash in puddles
And dance like you never have before.
As a woman, you will live through so many difficult things.
But I pray you will always dress the way
That makes you feel like a million bucks.
I pray those harsh times will never leave you without a smile
For those dimples light up a room by merely being here.
Always stand for what you feel is true to you.
Your presence is needed and requested among royalty,
Your existence is precious.
I hope you always see how beautiful you are.
I pray you hold these things deep in your heart.
For your time is here and now.
