For the silence of the heart
I traded love’s departed lamentations.

Sobriety eulogising the enlightened
Freedom of the spirit.

Bequeathing the balm of love
To censer bearers.

Where candles flicker
In dim lit corridors of regrets.

Morning dewdrops that
Wash the tears away.

And paint your dreams
With faded pale affections.

To soothe the soul
And veil the fruit of happiness.

Merciful pulsations that linger
In sublime rivulets of hope.

Embalmed cocoons of love
That muse in slumbered solitude.

To rest and pine
For the silence of the heart.
