You run away
from these little things
I don’t understand
but still I chase after you.

Everyone turns to ghosts
some howl as wolves
the vision of the world
turns into a crack in the mirror.

Were you ready to live
or hesitant to leave
I still didn’t know
but I still ran after you.

You kept secrets
they yell at us
they’re after us
like you held sacred stardust.

We’re going nowhere
you took my hand
gave me a wink;
I’m fine with running forever.
