This poem has been around for many many years. You changed up a couple of words in the last paragraphs but I remember this as a teenager as does my mom remembers it from her teenage years.
Yes it is…thanks for remembering it. I wrote it in 1994 and was published in my local newspaper and Teen Magazine. It won several Pima awards and I have change some things gs along the way since that was in 1994. I stilll have all the clippings since I was so proud of it.
