when he left her
he promised to return
and she believed him
and so everyday she waited
but he did not come
there is no news about him
but she kept on waiting
and days turned to months
and months to years
so many years
and then she began
to forget
about him and his promise
about her and her sadness

one day she was free at last
the memories all turned into
flowers and
a number of lighted candles
there was no song
just some prayers
