Forgotten Road Poem by Amy Sloat

Forgotten Road

I wandered out that day
Out into the great unknown
I just set out, seeking my center
Seeking the Spring within me
After Winter's cold dark
I needed to find that place of strength
So I, I of my own
Could commit to myself
Giving all of myself
Fully investing in me
And the future I want to see
As I watch my world change
And how it changes me
I see that it is my love,
My light, I seek to embody faithfully
