Forty Minutes Poem by Hima chan

Forty Minutes

In between
the involuntary trembles of my hands
I saw you
waiting
in the center of the storm
the violent winds
and the overwhelming
rains and the flood
you held and supported me.
In the silence
you stood in the rain with me
In the silence
you were by my side
as I tried
to swim afloat.
Rain
Shine
Rain
Shine
Rain and shine
You kept track with me.
In those forty minutes
You stayed
with me
in the depths of my sorrow.
In those forty minutes
of crushing solitude
You stood by me.
Even if you
aren't here with me right now,
Because of those forty minutes
At the other side of the world
And in my lonely heart
You are always here.
