Four Directions Poem by Sarah Pesta

Four Directions

On a path that leads to a new choice
I begin to wonder if I can go on

My decision draws near before my eyes
Three new paths are laid out different ways

As I stop and think of where to go
Believing that I can look towards my true desire

Left and right ways seem unknown to me
Going forward or turning around are my last options

If I keep going straight ahead to more confusion
There will only be more of what I already have

Turning around and taking another path seems to be a risk
My heart is helping me decide which to take

For the time being I will continue to decide what is right
Choosing the way that I know I can follow
