Four Friends Poem by Sujan Azad Parikh

Four Friends

Rating: 5.0

Four friends took off on a boat
To the island that lay a mile or two of the coast

One dived into the sea all happy and chirpy
The shark came from behind and then there were three

Another jumped into the shore and tied a bow
He slipped and fell on a rock and then there were two

One was thirsty so went to pick a lemon
Stepped on a snake and then there was one

All afraid and lonely, the last one was in misery
An arrow pierced his heart and ended his agony
