Fresh Tears Poem by Suhad Salih Abubakar

Fresh Tears

When nobody saw me flow
I hid behind closed lids
For the continues flow of those salty acids
May trigger unneeded questions
Eroding the very surface I land on
They are my only fortress and prison
When nobody saw me flow
I descended gorgeously like a royal

Emotional cracks caused my existence
Though happy moments may warrant me
When I decide to flow, I am loyal
And with the intensity with which I descend
I could out run the hare
But every drop I shed is an emotional bond
