Friend Lost Poem by Lata Raaj

A friend with whom I saw
Myself growing to womanhood
He just walked away turning his back
A friendship I shared with him was a rare gift
A small word, led to a heartbreak
I still hear his voice
I still remember the first time I met him
His friendship I never wanted to lose
But he doesn’t value my feelings
I miss him and everything that he meant to me
Oh! I wish my old days would come back.
Its not that I cannot live without him
But my life seems to be incomplete without him.
