Friends Poem by LucyAnne Wanjiku

Friends

Friends aren't the people who smile at you always
But them that frown when you pretend
Shout when you're stubborn
And real friends; slap you when you lose your mind

Friends don't only cry at your funeral
Or just place wreaths on your grave
They buy you flowers while you can see them
They don't only praise you in the eulogy
But while you can still blush and feel good

Friends don't only hug you when you're sad
But just to say I love you
Friends walk in when everyone walks out
They stay putt till you can stand

They will hold you when you're dirty
Even if it's their best dress
They'll mess up their make-up
Cancel their dates
Stay up all night when he leaves
Am sure you claim to have a friend but are you a friend?
