Friends - Poem by Cabaline xxx
My Dearest Friend,
It has been the same since we met.
You are the moon, and I, a simple star.
When we stand next to eachother,
I fade away into the background.
You are the first noticed-always.
I run behind you, picking up the pieces.
You are the more beautiful
next to you, I'm even more plain.
Your personality fills a room, takes over,
I never interrupt you- because I can't.
Your emotions run unchecked,
Until I act as a tonic, and sooth you.
You will make yourself great,
I will make others great.
I do love you, my friend,
but I seem to be here
to make you look even better.
But I don't mind,
because thats the way it's been
since the day we first met.
