Friends Poem by Shane Markie

Friends

Don't let the problems here on earth,
burden your heavy laden heart.
They've been here since your day of birth
and they will stay 'til you depart.

Nurture friends met along the way,
'twill lighten both their load and yours.
They've stood the test day after day
and opened many troubled doors.

Keep in touch with the ones you love,
home and friends, where your hope depends.
They are like treasures from above,
these true and loyal trusting friends.

If you won't heed this sound advice-
I guess I'll have to tell you twice.
