Friendships can be male or female people,
It is a process that is built, like a card stack or a church steeple.
That can be as fragile as thinest of glass,
Or solid and strong over time and made to last.
Spanning across continents and even lifetimes,
When a heart identifies with another in complimentary chimes.
There is empathy, laughter, joy, sharing, fun, and good times.

The footprint of friendship - spans across time and space,
When even a memory can bring a tear or place a smile upon your face.
A new friend picks up a new thread in your heart,
The spark starts very small, but small is a start.

As when protected, respected, nuctured and shared,
No two are the exact same, so cannot be compared.
Encompassing greatest of warmth and joy,
Can also be source of pain when apart
But know when friends move around, no other can replace
With reuniting dreams and events - shine new smiles apon your face.

So remember the lesson to be had from my verse,
Is to love and respect one another, treat each meeting as the first.
Find similar thoughts, identify new,
Share laughter and hugs when either feeling blue.
Discover new paths - found when two hands hold,
Two friends together, be strong, be bold.

Challenge boundaries and situation firsts,
Because when alone, confidence may reverse.
A true friend listens with ears and heart alike,
Each experience unique - like breezes carrying a kite.

No two Friendships are the same, each moulded and honed,
So that even when sharing news and stuff for hours and hours - there are always reasons to phone!

Dont only think how people can be useful to you in the skills that they bring,
As life designed you to be of infinate worth - as information source and love offering.
True friendships are a two way street,
As like in nature the tide needs both the eb and the flow in order to feel complete.

One sided friendships do not work,
As all give or all take can leave those involved feeling hurt.
As you can see - not any One word describes friendships thats true,
So totally special, priceless, unique, only begin to describe
how grateful and blessed I feel in my friendship with you!
