From Walls To Light Poem by Mystic Qalandar

From Walls To Light

Those walls that are visible—
Neither fragile nor strong—
Yet born of your own hands:
From stones of arrogance,
From clay of deception,
From bricks of negligence.

In truth, they bear no weight—
They are but void,
The echo of a sinister footstep
That dries the garden of the soul
And hides the manifestation of Truth
In darkness.

O traveler on the path of Reality!
This universe is entirely light—
Have you not heard?
'Allah is the Light
of the heavens and the earth.'

Yet the commanding self
(Nafs-e-Ammarah)
Dresses falsehood in the cloak of truth.
It comes wrapped in deceitful smiles.
Do not trust it—
It is a shadow:
In heart-deceiving glances,
In the recitation of fabricated verses,
It makes one forget the path.
Hiding behind veils,
It lies in wait.
But when the morning light
Bursts forth—
It melts away in moments.

Every desire you placed
Upon the canvas of your heart
Was a whisper from Satan.
The blackness that settled there
Became walls,
Blocking all paths.

So do not insist
On imprisoning the wind in your fist,
On mistaking a mirage for a river.
Remove these masks,
Bury these veils in the earth,
And in silence,
Turn toward the light.

This abode is entirely light—
Primal light,
Eternal beauty,
Perpetual peace—
Waiting for you
Since the beginning,
Calling to you until the end.

Have you not heard?
'You were dead, and He gave you life.
Then He will cause you to die,
then bring you to life.'

He is your origin,
He is your destination,
He is your eternal reality.

Hu... Hu...
Allah... Allah... Allah...Hu...
