Ftc Poem by Free Thinker In A Cage

We dance under a red sky at daybreak.
The wind falls upon us, but it cannot touch us,
for we are Free
from the chains of man and mind,
when we can finally see the hope of tomorrow.

They tell us to die laughing, but it cannot be true.
For the one who dies laughing, is a blind fool.
One should die smiling instead.

Smiling at the world, and his death to come.
Whether it be a warm embrace or a cold one,
familiar or strange, one cannot escape that fact.
For there is no greater blunder,
than to be caught from life whilst laughing.

One should smile back at the world,
and the life they may soon be to leave behind.

Reassuring those after him,
as the wind blows past
and through.

And the petals fall, one by one,
like soldiers in battle.

Do the stars, off in the distance,
in the great beyond our own place,
burn bright, or cold?
We shall not know.

For the stars are like dreams, so close,
yet untouched.

Too far out of reach
and yet so visible before us,
like the whispers of a dream in the mornings wake.

Though the stars remain indifferent and bright,
it is always possible their light burned out many years ago,
it has only not yet reached our eyes to see it.

Hidden,
in front of our eyes, such as truth, are from lies.
Each and every pricely cost,
but often not with its own
meaning and value
to which he holds true to our living realm and world.

That is,
the idea of Freedom.
Not a statement,
or an Idea,
but a Question.

One to which we all might have our own answers to,
similar or otherwise.
