Full Circle Poem by James Hunter

Full Circle

Rating: 5.0

Released from the flowering bud
And carried by the wind
It now awaits the warmth of spring
To gain a foothold once again
Underneath the velvet white
Lying dormant in the cold
A little seed hides and waits
For the right time to unfold
Collecting moisture, expanding roots
Gaining momentum everyday
With energy taken from the sun
The circle of life will be portrayed
A sprout becomes a mighty stalk
A flower begins to bloom
Seeds are formed inside their shell
Surrounded by sweet perfume
The seed matures and leaves the nest
Falling gently into peat
Covered by the winters white
Its life has come complete
