Gambling With Sanity Poem by Steve Santerre

Gambling With Sanity

Abstract thoughts shuffled until order is lost
Like a pile of cards or two square dice
In the manor of the mind, doors shut tight
Tables, chairs, and beds, a house of cards
Tumbling down quickly to the floor
A gamble lost once more,
To the unknown dusk cloud that hides
In depths of the deep and inner mind
