Gender Bender Poem by Thomas Dooley

Gender Bender

What you think you are is never what you want to be
You try to skip the pain because you don't like the team
Living a lie can be a shame now you want to reset the game

A taker never a giver just a gender bender
Life is forever God is love and it is a forgiver

Evolution and creation is random so why don't you blame them
Genetics choose you but you think you have something to prove
Something different inside you think it is something new

When it is hot take off the sweater just a gender bender
Want to change your style by giving your life to the knife

Want to reshuffle the cards because you don't like who you are
Wanting some attention but it is not the kind your getting
You want to be free by skipping all the menstruating dreams

Want to make a change gender bender
It will never change your heart it doesn't make you any friendlier

Life doesn't get any better no matter who you are
The chooses you make you got to be strong
Only God can tell you what is right or wrong
