Genesis Poem by Frank Acquafredda

Genesis

From the hands of our God
Or the stars cosmic dust,
How human life was started
Are the answers I must,
Search through my heart
For what I truly believe,
Because the problems I have
Start with Adam and Eve,
His very first creation
In the world which we live,
Created by our maker
Who then would not forgive,
Disobeying our lords
One only request,
Then exiled from Eden
For failing Gods test,
Indulging secretly
On this forbidden fruit,
With temptations haunting
From at this trees root.
Doubting our existence
From which life would begin
And the religion I follow
Questioning is considered sin.
My faith in a higher presence
Through life has been shown,
But with so many answers
Still remaining unknown.
All the religions we follow
Answer all we did not understand,
But what bothers me the most
Is they were written, by man.
