Gentle Breeze Poem by Victoria Hughes

Gentle Breeze

Rating: 5.0

As i look out of the window i spy
A feather lilting softly on the breeze
Gently being tossed up and down
Streaming through the midnight street

Under the lamp light bold as brass
The feather goes scooting past.
As i wait,
Under that lamplight in the moonlit street
I wonder where the feather next will leap.

Up it goes circling overhead
But then the breeze drops
And the feather
is dead.

Farewell carefree feather
Go into the light.
Don''t die here,
Under this lamplight
This night.
