Getting Over You Poem by Okello Baloyi

Getting Over You

The love I had for you, made me to do unspeakable things.
Sipping liquor until I fall asleep.
You might never know the feelings I had for you.
I remember back when love was expressed emotionally.
Not the one supported by financial means.
I'd walk through the unknown hills.
Not in quest for your replacement but for my health settlement.
They said love rule the world but mine didn't win your heart.
Anxiety feels like a pillow which I grab tight through the night.
Debt is unforgettable, as our history will go unwritten.
