Innocence is fleeting
Once it's gone you'll know
The realization hits like a blow
Thing's become clearer, more sharper, brutal
This life it seems is not so beautiful
Things that went bump in the night, go bang in the dark
Life it seems is wild and stark
So take what you may of the life your given
Nothing's the same once innocence is taken
