Glance Poem by Muhammad Ashraful Alam

Glance

Eyes never lie.
Sweetheart is so in love—
I saw her joy.
Waywardness on that path.
Intense desire for unspoken words.
Sometimes adventurousness.
The silence of the millennium in the depths of steadfast glance.
What as if hundred ask?
I saw affection on the sandy sea beach.
Sometimes the glory of her extraordinary beauty.
Moonlight night with the full moon in secret love tryst.
The wailing of a heart burned by the atrocious wildfire of separation.
I saw a leading role in the construction of civilization.
Again ever perk arrogance.
Or the poignant face of defeat.
Nevertheless, her indomitable wend.
Away, far away…
In an unknown world of silence.
But what, she is unbeaten?
At the gentle touch of the beloved the turbulent waves rise in warm blood.
Her life pulse shakes my being.
A heavenly feeling.
Eternal love.
