Glistening Poem by simon thorpe

Glistening

Eyes cold as ice, black as coal,
staring lifelessly ahead to a distant dream,
The sun will not rise today,
I am left with memories of bygone days,
Childrens laughter and a free flowing stream,
The stars were as one back then,
I hope and pray they will unite once again.
