Global Warming. Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Global Warming.

The Earth is warm, the Earth is sore,
Scientists knock on reason's door.
A line is near, they sadly say,
Beyond which we can't turn away.

The ice will melt, the seas will rise,
The forest fades beneath hot skies.
A chain reaction, strong and grim,
A future lost, on warming's whim.

We burn the fuel, the planet sighs,
Toward a heat that never dies.
Even stopped, the damage done,
A future lost, the battle run.

Too hot to live, the experts fear,
A world unmade, drawing near.
But eyes are closed, and ears are deaf,
To warnings cried, of coming death.
