Gloomweaver Poem by Petra Novakova

Gloomweaver

The Greatest of spiders devoured the light wells of old
Yet, she is starving for her hunger can never be sated

The Queen of darkness weaved her web around the world
Carefully cutting an edge between life and death

The Spirit of the night baited her prey with promises of gold
Patiently lurking in her lair to poison them

Mistress of shadows betrayed by the Black Foe as foretold
Silently hiding in caverns so as not to be slain

The Mother of monsters now forgotten lies in the cold
Yet, she is waiting to be summoned once again
