Go, You Said Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Go, You Said

Go, you said in a tone of icy cold
I listen to try decipher the sharp
of harsh that fly like daggers
right through what’s left of this.

Is there anything else hidden
that I should seek under the light
or is wishful thinking scampering
through fields of reality?

Feed on these thoughts of minus
let the wind of no drape over this
but even if things fall apart
better wishes sparkle out of its ash.

I shake my head at you
painful as a broken, locked door
listen not to the words with sound
just understand… isn’t that gentler?
