I think this is a different poem. The poem by Dorothy Francis Gurney begins, " THE Lord God planted a garden: In the first white days of the world, "
I would like to use this poem in a book I am writing about my son who passed from this life when he was 28 years old. May I have your permission?
This is wrongly credited it was written by Dorothy Frances Gurney - she also wrote hymns.
Could you give me the name of the author of this poem please so I can make contact with him/her. Clearly it isn't written by you.
Im confused why this poem can be found on the internet apparently by two separate authors - neither crediting the other.
It's a beautiful poem and one I have chosen for my husband. However, the way the poem is narrated is just abysmal. It is meant to be narrated with feeling and love. Not a harsh montone. It ruins it completely.
