God's Glory Your Gain Poem by Joye Atkinson

God's Glory Your Gain

For quite some time now I've been plagued
With sickness and disease
Now it's hard to do the things I used to do with ease
One night not too long ago I went to God in prayer
I said in your word you tell us to cast on you our care
Tell me Lord what have I done to make you mad at me
Open up my blinded eyes so I can clearly see
In quietness I heard him say my child please understand
Though you are in a valley I still hold you in my hand
You have not done a thing my child to make me mad at you
But this is for my glory and I'm going to see you through
Remember this my loved one there won't always be pain
For when I get my glory you will get your gain
You're going to come out stronger than you ever did before
I am refining you as gold so don't worry any more
