God’s Lamb’s Still Here Poem by Michael P. Johnson

God’s Lamb’s Still Here

Gross darkness keeps the world still blind
Robbing her gift of sight
Impairing earth and all mankind
Failing to see The Light

She’s blind and deaf to Satan’s deeds
His cunning ploys aboard
Dwelling amongst his fruit and weeds
Hiding from Christ The Lord

The wily serpent’s thriving still
Satan’s alive and well
Seeking to rob to cheat and kill
Whilst on the road to hell

Since Adam time he’s lived and learned
A master of deceit
Which ever way he’s not concerned
Just how he’ll bring defeat

We live in need we die in sin
Constantly to and fro
While Jesus wants each child to win
Who fail life’s truth to know

We hear of God and Jesus’ name
We hear, yet live in doubt
Running from truth walking in shame
Thinking what life’s about

God opens ears and opens eyes
To truth about His Son
Paving the way to Paradise
With all life’s victories won

It’s not a dream these facts are true
Life’s fight is raging now
And God’s still calling me and you
Before His Lamb to bow
