Winter is almost over, spring is drawing ever near.
Very soon May will arive. It's almost that time of year
To go back home once again, and see the ones I love so.
I can hardly wait to leave, they'll all be waiting I know.
All the hugs and kisses we'll give to those for whom we care.
Laughing, talking and smiling faces, they will all be there.
Some have gotten a little older, another wrinkle here and there.
A little more weight, a slower step, and more gray in the hair.
Then I turn around and look, and my children I will see,
And remember when they were young; Oh what sweet memories.
I watched my children grow up into young women and men.
I'm filled with pride and love, and thankful for the good times that've been.
Now here come the grand kids, they come one by one, two by two.
Oh so many of them, I won't know what to do.
Yet all of them are a part of me. They fill my heart and life with joy.
Each one is so very, very special--Each girl and each boy.
We'll all laugh, talk and reminisce, and share some food while I'm here.
Catch up on the news and all that's happened in the last year.
Time will go by so fast, it's over before you know.
With hugs, kisses, good bye's and a lot of tears, then I must go.
When I leave this place, in my heart there's always a fear,
That one of the faces I love won't be here next year.
So next year, if a face is missing, a face that I so love,
If I don't see you again, I'll meet you up above.
