Gold Coast Poem by Shaun McGurgan

Gold Coast

And I find myself in South East Queensland
Where the rivers do not flow.
Where the people flee from their homes.
Where the sunshine is aglow.

The sunlight bleaches you
in its everlasting stream.
An uninviting inhibitor
where paradise is parody
and peace is but a dream..
