Gold For The Woods Poem by ADEDEJI ADETIMEYIN TIMILEYIN

Gold For The Woods

we are of kubera lineage,
Born with silver spoons like common gifted placentas,
We were delivered on the wide platan of golds,
Feed with Milk and honey as a child's,
Ignorant to the essence of these bounty rewarded,
Uncommon gifts dash for limited needs of our belly.

We are born of bright and sharp destiny,
That brightened like the morning sun,
That sharpened like the two edged sword,
Innate to pierce through the hard without sweat,
Innate to shine at our dim and darkest moment,
Our equal gifts is unequally merged, eroded
And stagnant in their own quarters. but by our conscious minds,
Switched this our rights is at the sight of their polished favors,
Shrimps from our food is given as a favor from their own benevolentness,
Ignorance to its (favour)quantity as mere quality,
Detriment to ours and children future. but not theirs,
Now that there is chrome on our tinted mind,
We're done with our mind being roll like a dice,
Ready to denied our stomachs of his portion even though he is in need of it,
Ready to follow our mind that is now brightening with the emerging light,
(Mind)Cleaving gradually ike a crystal sky from that shading moving cloud.
We're now here for what is for us all,
Don't give us what is ours.
