Golden Sand Poem by A W

Golden Sand

His eyes meet mine, we stand together
We have wounds only the other can heal
He takes my hand as we approach the water clear and a forget me not blue
The setting sun meets the water in a kiss more gentle than any
A kiss I hoped we would share on this golden hissing sand
His smile meets my own and he leans forward, his soft brown curls in his eyes
I take my hand and move them to see his fawn colored eyes sparkling with feelings unknown
My best friend and my partner he means so much to me
He leans in closer my face heating up like the sand
We close the gap, a tender kiss, the first of many
He's taken all the feelings unknown and made them known to both of us
I close my eyes. This kiss is more than any day dream I've had. It's real, he's really here
The curls fall back into place though neither of us move them
The softest thud as we accidentally hit heads, soon the giggles turn to laughs as we just enjoy the sun and tingle of the kiss on our lips.
