Good, Bad, Strange Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Good, Bad, Strange

I’m good, I’m bad
I’m strange.
I’m not what I seem,
I’ve something to say
and then I don’t.
Don’t laugh at me
or make a joke,
as I play
on my guitar or cello.

I choke on my words
I fall and trip
I lose it
before having it all.
I fall out of love
just to sink back in.
I build myself up
just to fall apart
in someone’s hands.
I want you
not to judge me.
Let me be me.

For now,
I’ll be wishing
I was a better me.
Or someone great
that one day
you won’t think
it was me
that you’ve seen.
