Try and tell me its okay,
But our love has gone astray,
All we ever do is fight
I wish I could, but make it right,

You once were the love of my life,
All I wanted was to be your wife,
I loved it when you held me tight
It filled my heart with delight

But I never did foresee
That you would ever hurt me
My heart you have bruised
I feel so, so confused,

I don’t know what to do,
You tell me that you love me true
Yet you say it with disgust,
Those words can I trust?

No matter how hard we try to pretend
Our love has come to an end
The men I once loved would never make me cry,
That is why I am telling you good-bye
